Lauren Arthurs: My Summer of Love

Paris is always a good idea – and Lauren Arthurs knows it. Join the blogger babe as she visits the city of love and tells us all about her summer favourites, from suitcase styles to hot-weather playlist hits.

Tell us about your holiday destination

I’m in Paris for five days to create some beautiful content.

What do you love most about summer?

Summer fashion – I love dressing for the warmer weather, whether I’m heading to the beach or a summer event. It’s all about those long evenings, BBQs and cocktails.

Give us the low-down of your top summer suitcase must-packs

1. Beachcomber Wow Skirt – such a versatile piece that can be worn to the beach or on city breaks.

2. Bella Extreme Cat Eye Sunglasses – cat eye sunglasses are so flattering and add instant glamour to any look.

3. Crescent Cross-Body Bag – I love the shape of this. It’s great for travelling as the white matches with absolutely everything, and I also love the chain detailing.

4. Raffia Statement Earrings – the colour of these are absolutely lovely. Plus summer is all about statement earrings, right?

5. Cherie Mini Handheld Bag – again, the white colour makes this bag so versatile.

6. Maisie Mirrorwork Espadrilles – espadrilles are the perfect shoes for summer, with the added lace-up detail and embroidery taking them to the next level!

What’s your ultimate summer anthem for 2018?

2002 – Anne-Marie.

If you could vacay with any celeb, who would you pick and why?

The Kardashians because they seem like they’d be so much fun to hang out with!

5 Instagrammable Staycation Destinations

Apparently, when we’re choosing where to go on our holidays, most of us consider how Instagrammable a place is. Firstly, obviously! Pics or it didn’t happen, right? Secondly, that sounds great if you can splash out for a super-glam Grecian hotel with an infinity pool outside your door but what if your bank account is less Beyoncé more budget?  We’ve got you. Hit up one of these totally Insta-worthy staycation destinations and thank us later.

1. Tenby, Wales

A golden sandy beach, quaint streets, palm trees and pastel houses galore. Must be some coastal Mediterranean town. Nope! It’s Tenby in Wales. So far the Tenby hashtag has racked up over 160,000 posts and it’s not hard to see why. The cute stairs nestled between the pastel-coloured buildings are just calling out for those candid-but-not-really-candid shots, the palm tree lined beaches will make you feel like you’re in Spain and the old school seaside vibes are fuelling our nostalgia rn.

What to Wear

2. Isle of Skye, Scotland

The Isle of Skye just off the coast of Scotland has you 100% covered when it comes to Insta-ready beauty spots. Hike up to The Storr for an epic landscape pic (you looking triumphant at the top of a hill 100% necessary, ofc), next head to Dunvegan Castle then don’t even think about leaving until you’ve been to the Fairy Pools. The water is crystal clear blue and you can swim in it too, if you fancy perfecting your wet hair flick.

What to Wear

3. London

We’re not talking snapping Big Ben or getting the usual shot outside Buckingham Palace. Ditch the tourist spots and head straight for Sky Garden for ultra chic interiors and killer views. Next, up take a trip to God’s Own Junkyard which is basically neon heaven on earth, get a hit of colour at Neal’s Yard, then make tracks for Bourne and Hollingsworth – a plant lover’s paradise. And last but definitely not least, Sketch London is the holy grail of Insta-locations. The millennial pink walls and matching velvet chairs never fail to rack up the likes and the multi-coloured space age-y toilets are serious Instagram fodder too.

What to Wear

4. Rye, Sussex

Rye has it all – cobbled streets, black and white Georgian houses, and gorgeous doorways that are calling out for an #OOTD post. Sunset over the harbour will get you at least five heart eye emojis and if that’s not enough, Camber Sands is right on your doorstep too. The amazing sand dunes and golden beach which stretches on forever need no filter.

What to Wear

5. Leeds

If city trips are your thing but you’ve already done London, head north to Leeds. We guarantee your camera roll will be full by the time you leave. Head to the Corn Exchange for interiors inspo (plus perfect selfie light underneath the huge ceiling window) then visit Colours May Vary and Village; two super cool indie magazine shops. Issho provides rooftop goals with its amazing view, and Tattu might just take the crown for prettiest restaurant ever with its cute pendant lights and cherry blossom trees.

5 Bright Beach Looks We Love

Now don’t get us wrong. While we’re still major fans of the little black dresses/jumpsuit/sliders serving all the looks in our summer wardrobes, there’s something about jetting off on holiday that makes us want to wear all the colour. Ready to get on board? From citrus shades and cool corals to dreamy sea blues, here are the five bright beach looks we’re loving right now.

1. Watermelon Wonder

Carrying a watermelon is *so* 1987. Turn your fave Dirty Dancing quote into an Insta-ready reality with so-fresh shades of green and pink – like this sun dress and bikini combo. Add an extra squeeze of SS18 with a woven bag and silver sandals.

2. Mellow Yellow

Gen Z yellow has been on our radar since the start of SS18 and we’re very much here for it finding its place in our getaway wardrobes. Get hyped over the hottest hue of the season with a babein’ bikini that’s guaranteed to set your Insta feed on fire, ticking off another two trends with ruffles and a one-shoulder neckline. So fresh.

3. Blue Wave

Dreamy destinations = the only reason we’d ever want to blend into the background. Copy the cloudless skies in a cool blue maxi dress, topped with tile prints and tassels for that stand-out touch. Make the palette pop with a coral bikini (as seen on Laura from Love Island, fyi), complementing its blush-toned hues with rose gold accessories.

4. Rainbow Mood

If you’re not one to do things by halves then all-out rainbow stripes is the certified trend of your summer vacay. Go for so-extra sun dresses with bold blocks of colour (bonus if they come with a bit of sparkle) that are perfect for throwing on over your bikini or styling up for the bar with a pair of tassel earrings. Hashtag no filter needed.

5. Life Aquatic

How to wear colour without going OTT? Stand out without shouting with a swish swimsuit in crush-worthy colours of aquamarine and coral (those embroideries though), paring it back with a crisp white shirt for relaxed beach vibes. Finish with acrylic sunglasses and metallic sliders for ultimate poolside cool.

4 Must-Pack Beach Looks for SS18

Reminder: you have one pending fashion update. It’s time to overhaul your holiday wardrobe ahead of that totes-needed getaway. Want some inspo? Our four must-pack beach looks for SS18 are fresh-as and ready to set your vacay snaps on fire, from the babe-worthy swimwear to the tropi-cool jewels. Here’s the download…

1. Beach Blooms

A cute off-shoulder top is a non-negotiable for your sunny-weather suitcase, and bringing an embroidered skirt into the mix makes for a killer combo. Accessorise this femme-floral vibe with a straw circle bag, and finish with staple-worthy raffia bangles.

2. Tropical Vibes

Paradise, is that you? Our dreamy tropical prints are something else, and this swimsuit-kimono pairing is a match made in white-sandy-beach heaven. Match the white sands in a pair of tonal sandals, and spice things up with beaded tassel earrings.

3. Mega Maxis

If in doubt, go all out. The maxi dress is a big deal when it comes to holiday season – no change there – and we’re loving the so-flattering shape of this side tie, halter-neck dream. With craftwork deets still being the one, a tassel beach bag and pom pom slides add the perfect amount of boho glamour. We’re into it.

4. Neon Brights

Sorry sunshine, but our yellow bikini beats you on brightness right now. The colour of the moment will give your suitcase some serious style kudos, and this ruffled one-shoulder design shows off your summer glow to perfection. Make it tropical with pineapple earrings – a juicy talking point.

5 Boho Beach Looks for Your Next Vacay

Charlotte Fisher: My Summer of Love

If anyone’s got the whole ‘watch more sunsets than Netflix’ thing nailed then Charlotte Fisher is probably it. Join us as we catch up with the blogger babe on her travels in Mexico (check those dreamy backdrops though), and find out more about the styles and sounds she’s loving this summer…

Tell us about your holiday destination.

I’m discovering some new ground in Yucatan, Mexico, and revisiting an island called Holbox which stole my heart almost two years ago – it’s the Maldives of Mexico!

What do you love most about summer?

Where do I begin? Firstly the longer days – the more daylight and sunshine, the better for me! Plus the sunrises and sunsets just get that much better too. I love running, so a sunset run along the river where I live on is amazing, or a sunset swim with the dogs on one of the many Isle of Wight beaches!

Give us the low-down of your top summer suitcase must-packs – and why you can’t leave home without them.

A straw hat of some type always has to come away with me these days – preferably with a matching beach bag! Statement earrings are a must-have too. I feel they really complement holiday styles and look amazing with a swimsuit too. Talking of which, I always go for a colorful swimsuit as well as a more neutral one which I then jazz up with accessories.

What’s your ultimate summer anthem for 2018?

This year, I’ve had Post Malone’s new album on repeat but I’m also loving Nice for What by Drake.

If you could vacay with any celeb, who would you pick and why?

Justin Bieber! I’m sure I don’t need to explain why but the guy looks great in swimmers…

Quick-fire round…

Beach or pool?

Such a tough one… beach in general but some pools have unrivalled locations!

Bikini or swimsuit?

Skimpy swimsuits!

Sunrise or sunset?

Sunrise because you still have the day ahead of you and the sunset to catch too! I love seeing both!

Landmarks or hidden treasures?

Ice cream or ice lolly?

Meet Our Exclusive Tropical Print for SS18

Shake your palm-palms: tropical prints have gone turbo for SS18. From pineapples to lush leaves, these mega motifs are bringing all the feel-good vibes to our hot-weather wardrobes – so naturally, we *had* to get a slice of the action. Hand-painted by our super-talented designers right here in our London head office, we’ve created an exclusive tropical print for our new season collection – and what’s more, it’s so unique that you won’t find anywhere else on the high street. Need the deets? Right this way…

Behind the Scenes

Pineapples, palm leaves and flamingos – if you’re looking for tropical print that’s as extra as you are, then this Hawaiian-inspired hun is basically it. Armed with paints, props and a whole loada imagination, our in-house #Accessorizers were able to conjure up a statement summer print like no other.

Lucia, Senior Designer for Accessorize, said: “We were really inspired by palm trees and bananas leaves. We loved the idea of a camouflaged tropic with hidden birds and creatures – our own exotic jungle!”

1. The Travel Bags

Jetting off on holiday? Get in that tropical state of mind before you even leave home with a paradise-print tote – fill it with your carry-ons for the flight before it becomes your beachside essential. For matchy-matchy vibes, double up with the co-ordinating wash bag.

2. The Swimwear

Whether you’re island-hopping somewhere sunny or seaside-tripping with your hometown huns, tropical prints are a sure-fire fave for a day on the beach. Go high-fashion with a plunging swimsuit (that low back detail though) or get tan line-friendly with a babein’ bikini.

3. The Cover-Ups

On the look-out for coconut cocktails? Swish your way over to the tiki bar in so-exotic cover-ups – think cool kaftans thrown over your bikini or, if you wanna go all-out beach babe, slip into a sarong that’ll show off that summer glow.

Lucia Grace: My Summer of Love

Small moments, major memories. This summer, catch up with our fave blogger babes as they share the little things they’re loving on their travels, plus get the low-down on their holiday must-packs, playlists and much more. First up, we’re chatting to Lucia Grace, fashion and travel blogger, about her wanderlust-worthy trip to Bali and her forever summer obsession: sipping coconuts on the beach. Dreamy vacay vibes, right this way.

Tell us about your holiday destination…

I’m currently living in Bali for a couple of months! I adore Indonesia and Bali is such a special tropical paradise. Beautiful beaches, rich in culture and delicious food and cocktails everywhere – not to mention it’s full of the most Instagrammable places ever. It’s been the perfect place to kick off my summer season.

What do you love most about summer?

I’ve always been a sucker for a beautiful beach and, for me, nothing beats enjoying a coconut or cocktail whilst listening to the waves roll in. Extra points if it’s at sunset!

Give us the low-down of your top 5 summer suitcase must-packs

I’m obsessed with sunglasses with coloured lenses right now and I have these gorgeous round Accessorize ones in both yellow and pink. I’ve worn them non-stop! One thing I also always pack is a statement piece of flouro swimwear because it always looks so gorgeous with a tan and I’m in love with this printed blue and pink number.

Next up, stacking rings. I always accessorise with gold pieces and forever have a few rings across my fingers. My favourite is the one with star constellations because it feels so special!

Chokers are also a must-pack for me! These are my go-to for adding a little extra something to evening outfits, and I love mix and matching with them.

And last but not least, loose-fitting trousers. I think these look gorgeous come evening time with a crop or cami top, and this striped pair are perfect for going from beach to bar.

What’s your ultimate summer anthem for 2018?

It’s so hard to pick one but one I have on repeat on my Bali playlist right now is Nice for What by Drake.

If you could vacay with any celeb, who would you pick and why?

Rihanna all the way so we could jam to her tues and I could borrow her holiday wardrobe!

5 Boho Beach Looks for Your Next Vacay

Counting down the days till you can swan around a beach looking like a boho babe straight outta Insta? Yep, we know the feeling. So whether you’re planning on going all-out global traveller or just want a hint of hippie in your getaway get-up, here are five boho beach looks to wear on your next vacay – sun, sea and sand, here we come.

1. Make Me Blush

Up until now, gold has been our go-to shade for boho glam – and not least because it looks great with a tan. But this season, we’re swapping it out for a pop of pink (yep, you heard), from the outfit right down to the accessories. Wanna join us? Get down with this cool khaki playsuit with blush-toned embroideries, amping up the boho-luxe vibe with rosy little extras. Hashtag heaven.

2. Print Party

Wanna go big on boho? Pick up a paisley-print bikini with – hear us out – ruffles and cold shoulder cut-outs for something that feels so-SS18. When it comes to the cover-ups, a crisp white kaftan with neon embroideries is your beach-to-bar bestie – and it’ll take you to festival season in a flash too. Win-win.

3. Wave Maker

In case you needed any proof that navy and white don’t always have to add up to nautical, then this breezy boho look is it. Effortless and easy to throw on for a day in the sun, a floaty white shirt and tie-dyed shorts in deep blue create the perfect combo for sun-soaked hols. Add on tonal tassels, gold sandals and a matchy-matchy bag for all the free-spirited feels.

4. Straw Thing

Even though circle bags might seem more at home on city streets than far-flung beaches, you can count on straw styles to make them feel instantly more vacay-ready. Go for an oversized design that you’ll be wearing all-week long, pairing it with a printed playsuit for boho cool.

5. Boho Blooms

The white dress = the ultimate must-have for boho babes. Make it feel considerably cooler with an off-shoulder neckline (the only way to show off that glow) and embroidered blooms in popping shades of pink, adding a little extra co-ordination with a pom-pom bag. For the rest of your extras, play it low-key with neutral palettes and minimal shapes.

Charlotte Fisher: Visiting Japan’s Cherry Blossoms

What does blogger and Instagram mega-babe Charlotte Fisher pack for a dreamy holiday in Japan? We take a sneak peek at her vacay snaps for some major OOTD inspo. Get set to swoon over this straight-from-the-suitcase rundown – cherry blossoms included.

Pastel Prettiness

Charlotte plays matchy-matchy with those mega cherry blossoms (well, who can resist?!) and proves why we’re so obsessed with pastels this season. A little sparkle from her embellished bag is the perfect way to glam up this daytime look, and XL earrings add a double dose of the trends.

Cruising In Colour

Chill vibes to the max. Charlotte knows that sunny days and a floral-print dress are a total match made in heaven, and those colour-pop accessories are the perfect extras. With her circle bag and tassel earrings, the style points are seriously stacking up.

Pink & Red

It’s the clash we can’t get enough of, and Charlotte’s got it down with her pink and red accessories. The colour combo feels so fancy on her printed scarf and glam floral bag – way to rival those dreamy cherry blossoms, girl.

Fairy-tale Florals

Back-to-nature prints are a total spring thing, and Charlotte serves up her florals in an ultra-luxe silk scarf and clutch bag with made-you-look embellishments. Same dress, total switch-up – this is outfit remixing done right.

Coachella 2018: 5 Festival Trends with Main-Stage Status

The one word on everyone’s lips = Coachella. Giving us serious FOMO with that Beyoncé performance (AKA the headline act of the actual century), the festival’s first weekend also served up more street style inspo than we could handle, making us mega excited for the summer ahead. Need a fashion break-down? From bumbags to bandos, here are the five festival trends with main-stage status, as seen at Coachella 2018.

1. The Bumbags

Shop Bumbags >

Having raved about bumbags since the start of the season, we’re pleased to report that the throwback trend of SS18 has now made its way onto the festival circuit – as demonstrated by these main-stage movers. Belted designs in all-black everything proved to be the popular choice for the Coachella crowd, while mermaid sequins and metallics also made waves during the so-fire weekend.

2. The Face Jewels

Shop Face Jewels >

Move over, make-up – face jewels have officially taken over festival season. Stick-on sparkles and glitter-dusted skin was the clear favourite at Coachella 2018, making field-day ‘fits feel all the more magical. Wanna go even extra? Tap tips from one festival-goer and rock ‘em your bod with a bikini top.

3. The Cat-Eye Sunglasses

Shop Sunglasses >

Once the go-to fave of old-school Hollywood starlets, cat-eye sunglasses have had a modern makeover for SS18 – and these Coachella babes were all over them. But forget going for all-out glam ‘cause this season’s specs are taking a turn for the futuristic – think exaggerated angles, oversized shapes and mirrored lenses.

4. The Bandos

Shop Hair Accessories >

Great for fixing up your festival ‘do as well as disguising dry-shampooed roots, bandos were big news at Coachella 2018. Retro prints and florals brought all the vintage vibes to campsite get-ups, while tropical palms made the it-accessory feel much more now.

5. The Statement Earrings

Shop Earrings >

Statement earrings = the trend that we can’t get enough of. From punchy pom-poms and tiered tassels to supersized Scandi shapes, shoulder-grazing styles lit up the lobes of the festival fash pack, showing us that they’re staying put for the summer ahead.
