5 Healthy London Brunch Spots

Weekends were made for brunchin’. Whether you’re craving buckwheat bowls or super-green smoothies, discover deliciously healthy brunch spots in London, as chosen by Jess Moses from Freshly Snapped.

If anyone knows or follows me, you’ll know that I am a very proud and experienced cafe hopper! Sunday brunch is my vibe, especially when it comes to natural food and London’s hottest new locations. So I’ve gone on a little cafe-hopping mission to bring you some of the the most unique healthy brunch spots in London (tough life I know), and I am so excited to share my seriously delicious finds with you guys!

SaladPride

Salad Pride

SaladPride is a little understated cafe in the heart of Neal’s Yard. They’ve got their drinks down to a tee, from red velvet beetroot lattes and mate libre mocktails to their ‘bullet proof’ coffees! When it comes to brunch, they pull out all the stops, creating food which is unique, original and far more than just avocado on toast. Think tamari mushrooms on chickpea flatbread with roasted red onions, rainbow chard, micro greens, butter beans and a balsamic glaze, and their new buckwheat bowls. It’s topped with roasted apple, pear, chia jam, walnuts, pomegranate and a dollop of coconut yogurt – it’s so vibrant and tastes seriously indulgent!

The MaE Deli

Mae Deli

I might be a little biased, but The MaE Deli really is one of my favourite spots in London. If you’re a healthy foodie and are scouting for the most Instagrammable brunch, this place is for you. They do a full range of plant-based dishes, from creamy porridge with their signature MaE berry & apple compote, to more savoury eats like their MaE bowls with delicious salad options. If you fancy something light and simple for brunch, their rye toast with smooth almond butter, banana slices and coconut chips is a dreamy combo; add a Green Glow smoothie on the side and you’re winning! All the food served at the deli is made with the highest quality ingredients, making sure that you and your body reap the benefits.

Farm Girl

Farm Girl

Placed on the bustling Portobello Road, Farm Girl brings a little piece of Aussie cafe culture to London, and if anyone knows how to make a good brunch, it’s the Aussies! They’re pushing the boundaries of healthy eating to the limit with their rose lattes, buckwheat berry pancakes, pistachio quinoa salads and strawberry avocado smash. Their acai bowls are also a must-have, and there’s endless topping options to choose from. They’ve also seriously mastered their latte art skills… we’re talking flowers and bulldog cinnamon chai lattes. You can really trust that everything on their menu is natural, with no hidden nasties, which is always a plus.

26 Grains

26 grains

Another go-to has to be the beautiful 26 Grains – I guarantee you won’t find a prettier oatmeal bowl out there! They make grains exciting and create bowls which are almost too pretty to eat.  Their matcha cacao coconut oatmeal is topped with crunchy cacao crumble, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, matcha ice cream and popped quinoa. I mean, have you ever thought of putting matcha ice cream on your oatmeal?! Their menu changes seasonally, so if you ever make it there for rhubarb season, I definitely recommend the oatmeal with rhubarb compote, coconut yogurt and cardamom spiced granola. If you’re feeling experimental, their savoury oats with kale, avo, sriracha and a fried egg is such a yummy combo – I promise it tastes better than it sounds!

Daisy Green

Daisy Green

If you’re on the hunt for a brunch feast leaving you full to the brim, this hidden gem is the one! Daisy Green will pimp out your standard eggs on toast with their organic cold fermented charcoal sourdough bread… turns out black toast isn’t so bad for you after all! If you’re headed to Daisy Green, you HAVE to try the coconut bread French toast – it tastes heavenly and is completely gluten-free. Have yours with with a freshly-squeezed beetroot, carrot, apple and ginger juice – it will go down a treat.

I can assure you these unique brunch finds are definitely worth getting out of bed for! I would love to hear what you guys think of these spots and welcome any recommendations you have too (you can contact me via my Instagram page – @freshlysnapped)
